I was shown a vision of heaven once. The strange thing was the light illuminated from the things in heaven. For instance, the streets radiated a golden color like a sunset. I don't know if the streets were literally gold, but the color was. I was told to not look back, but dumb me did, so all I got was a glimpse from a hillside.
When I was younger, I thought there being an actual hell was inconsistent with an all loving God. I now understand there is a real hell and it's likely far worse than our wildest imagination. I also now understand God's fairness and the justice in allowing hell to exist. It saddens me that anyone should end up there, but those that do certainly deserve their fate. As Christians we need to listen to God and when he asks us to spread his message we need to do so. Each soul we can save from hell, is so worth the effort. It's probably the most important task we have on this earth.
I have to second Stacy McMillen. I have to be honest and say I'm not a Christian, but I have a great deal of respect for that belief and faith. But I'm just absolutely blown away by your writing. I'd find it almost impossible to believe that your words. the concise elaboration, the analogies, etc did not come from the "Light Within".
