My partner said he happened across "Gog & Magog" last week above a checkerboard floor in the Royal Arcade in the CBD last week. He said hw felt as though he had been "zapped" with an electic shock...

I did wonder at the time what you might make of Gog & Magog....

Hey! Here's what I think.

The words Gog and Magog means

Gog = "The king"

Magog "mountain"

So Gog and Magog means "The King and his mountain"

Gog and Magog (the king and his people/mountain) represents the man-made political system.

Men wanted a human king because they rejected the Lord and did not want God to reign over them.

But the thing displeased Samuel when they said, “Give us a king to judge us.” So Samuel prayed to the Lord. And the Lord said to Samuel, “Heed the voice of the people in all that they say to you; for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me, that I should not reign over them.

1 Samuel 8:6-7

The key words in the verse regarding Gog and Magog (rev 20:8) is "TO GATHER" before the "BATTLE OF THAT GREAT DAY of God Almighty".

You can see the words "to gather them" in the following verses:

And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog, and Magog, TO GATHER THEM together to BATTLE: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.

Revelation 20:8

For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, TO GATHER THEM to the BATTLE OF THAT GREAT DAY of God Almighty.

Revelation 16:14

And he GATHERED them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

Revelation 16:16

Armageddon means "Hill of Megiddo" - Megiddo means "A crowded place" ie. place of GATHERING.

What are they gathering for?

--> They are gathered to make a decision.

Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision!

Joel 3:14

What decision?

The two opinion --> Truth vs Lie

And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between TWO OPINIONS? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him"

1 Kings 18:21

This event of "making a decision" was also mirrored when Jesus was crucified.

“But you have a custom that I should release someone to you at the Passover. Do you therefore want me to release to you the King of the Jews?”

Then they all cried again, saying, “Not this Man, but Barabbas!” Now Barabbas was a robber.

John 18:39-40

The people chose Barrabas (meaning "son of the father") instead of Jesus ("SON of the FATHER").

John 8:44 defines the "other" father, opposite of the Father of Truth.

You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.

John 8:44

Gog also represents the King of the North. (Daniel 11).

Judge of the North.

The tribe of Dan (North) = the tribe of the Human Judge.

The only missing tribe from the Sealed. (Rev 7)
