Many times, we use the words "magic," "sorcery," and "witchcraft" interchangeably, but each of these words holds its own significance. Every word in the Bible is carefully chosen to convey its meaning.
Let's look at the word "Magician."
The word "Magician" (חַרְטֹם, ḥarṭōm) in the Bible comes from the root word "ḥereṭ," which means "engraving tool" or, simply put, a pen.
A "magician" is someone who uses a pen to write words. The ability of a magician is to simply use words to create a narrative—an illusion to misrepresent the Truth.
Modern-day "magicians" are individuals who control the narrative through the mouth of the beast (symbolizing the corporate media, i.e., CNN, Fox News, BBC, ABC, etc.).
And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.
Revelation 13:5And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
Revelation 16:13
Frogs are used to symbolize the narrative that comes out of the Mouth of the Beast. It first appears like a tadpole, looking completely different from an adult frog. It swims in the water and then matures into a frog that lives on land. Such is the narrative of the Beast. It always starts with something completely innocent (i.e., "Let's save the world from climate change," "let's vaccinate to save grandma from a killer virus", “it is 100% safe and effective”, “let’s use inclusive language”).
The frogs have polluted the land, and the land stinks. Those with a nose will smell the stench.
And the LORD did according to the word of Moses; and the frogs died out of the houses, out of the villages, and out of the fields. And they gathered them together upon heaps: and the land stank. But when Pharaoh saw that there was respite, he hardened his heart, and hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had said.
Exodus 8:13-15
Despite the plague, many are behaving like Pharaoh, continuing to harden their hearts. Many persist in seeking and believing the narrative of the magician, much like Nebuchadnezzar. Nebuchadnezzar couldn't find rest and sought magicians to soothe his mind.
And in the second year of the reign of Nebuchadnezzar. Nebuchadnezzar dreamed dreams, wherewith his spirit was troubled, and his sleep brake from him. Then the king commanded to call the magicians, and the astrologers, and the sorcerers, and the Chaldeans, for to shew the king his dreams. So they came and stood before the king.
Daniel 2:1-2
We are now witnessing the collapse of narratives. The words of these modern-day magicians are in the process of failing. Just as the frogs polluted the land, they can no longer conjure their enchantments (illusions).
And the magicians did so with their enchantments to bring forth lice, but they could not: so there were lice upon man, and upon beast.
Exodus 8:18
“I watched then because of the sound of the pompous words which the horn was speaking; I watched till the beast was slain, and its body destroyed and given to the burning flame.
Daniel 7:11
